The shed day

If you had asked 99.9% of tourists in Dubai what they did today they probably would have given the same answer. I however like to do different from the norm. I woke up late, had some breakfast (if you can call cereal at 11am that). Then spent the afternoon looking at a shed, dismantling a shed, moving a shed, re-assembling a shed and having a fab time doing it.

On the way back from my shed adventure I got to take some great pictures.

We then went back to the Monty (for those of you who read my last blog and because I said it wasn't as glamours as Dubai may have thought it was a dive, I have to say it is a five star hotel) for a few drinks , food and a good natter. It was also movie night to night which ment a big screen at the end of the pool with the kids on floats watching it while the parents got to discuss world events (over a few beers, lol).

If base camp was a little closer the buggy's may have got us home, lol.

Wayne however taught us the correct process for flagging down a taxi.

  1. Just a reminder,a night out at the pictures here is a car drive through a ' shed' load (managed to get that in )of traffic, making your way by foot through the rain with your umbrella blowing inside out because it is so windy and then finally reaching your destination to find that there is a queue full of people and the last ticket has gone for a film that you have wanted to see for ages ! Not lying on a float in what looks like pure paradise chilling outdoors. Jealous !!! Bofferd !!!!! Noooooo From quick thinking sis xx
